The twenty-first "Parkon" conference, which was held on October 26. at the Hotel Fruške Terme in Vrdnik, traditionally gathered a large number of participants from our country and the region. More than 120 participants of this year's conference had the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest technological achievements in the field of digitization of parking spaces, with new possibilities in strategic management of parking and traffic, and to be reminded of the importance of promoting sustainable urban development of this activity. The conference was opened by Đorđe Vučinić from the Association for Communal Activities of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and during the main panel the attendees were presented with the topics: Mobile app "Parking service", Legal framework for the successful implementation of the parking fee control system using optical license plate recognition, Chargers for electric cars - presentation of the guide for the installation of chargers in public areas and the impact of the self-driving cars on the parking industry. The participants were presented models of electric cars and bicycles with the latest models of electric chargers, machines for marking horizontal signals, innovations related to traffic signals, info boards, toll booths and other infrastructural parking equipment, as well as numerous current software solutions, in our country an in region. This year's "Parkon" was marked by a large number of guests from the region, primarily from Montenegro, Croatia, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which contributed to the improvement and affirmation of regional cooperation in this domain.
