SERBIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and the Serbian Parking Association achieve significant long-term cooperation through the Association's membership in the Group for Communal Activities, which is reflected in the influence on amendments to laws, the participation of representatives of the SCC in the work of the SPA Board, as well as through the daily exchange of current information.
The MINISTRY OF LABOR AND SOCIAL POLICY implemented the project of introducing unified disabled parking cards in cooperation with SPA. The introduction of unified disabled parking cards was started in 2012., and more than 15,000 cards are distributed every year, which allow people with disabilities to park for an unlimited time in general disabled spots throughout the country.
The implementation of this project made a significant contribution in the area of:
• Improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities and extending the right to equal parking privileges on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
• Cooperation was achieved with over 100 municipal administrations and public utility companies in the Republic of Serbia
• Control over the IPK issuance process was achieved, which reduced the possibility of abuse
• A database of issued IPK was created
• Over 15,000 IPKs are distributed throughout the Republic of Serbia annually
As part of the campaign "PARK YOUR CAR, SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT" which was launched in 2018., the Parking Association of Serbia achieved significant cooperation with the MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION. The campaign was launched with the aim of raising awareness among the public about the impact of traffic on the environment and the importance of encouraging the development of sustainable ways of transport. Promotional activities, which were supported by the active participation of representatives of the Ministry, local self-governments, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and members of the Serbian Parking Association, were organized in Novi Sad, Niš, Belgrade, Pančevo, Subotica, Požarevac and Čačak.
The Parking Association of Serbia has been a member of the EUROPEAN PARKING ASSOCIATION since March 2013. It shares the status of a full member with 25 other European national associations. In addition to the national parking associations, the EPA brings together numerous private and state companies that deal with parking activities throughout Europe. Every year, the European Parking Association, organizes a number of significant events across Europe (congresses, fairs, exhibitions, panels, annual awards) and launches projects that have a significant impact on the development of the parking industry in the world. The seat of the European Parking Association is in Cologne, FR Germany.
In addition to the mentioned institutions, the Association also achieved significant cooperation with: Faculty of Law in Belgrade during the preparation of the Expertise of Prof. Vlatković on the occasion of the procedure for assessing the constitutionality and legality of the Decision on public parking lots and the Faculty of Traffic in Novi Sad, who prepared an Elaboration on parking for the needs of SPA members.
It is also important to mention the Association's participation in domestic and foreign fairs and congresses, among which the following stand out: Intertrafic Amsterdam, Intertraffic Istanbul, Parkon, Komdel Expo Kragujevac, etc.
